Hello Participants,
The next two weeks will show you many new ways to incorporate music and Alaska Native culture into your classroom. In addition to discussing cultural topics and using music in your classroom we will also be showcasing a few pieces for the final event on Thursday, August 6th. The pieces we will share will be:
Haagu S'e
The Hook Song
A combined version of the 50 states lesson
Sharing the writing assignment for creating new lyrics
An entrance song with traditional Tlingit dancing
Body percussion excerpt
Most, if not all, of these lessons will be done in class.
I'm looking forward to helping you bring the arts into your classroom!
